Wheel tech question

Just about ready to finally take the plunge with new wheels and tires. I was hoping to get some 20's, but the almost $100 per tire jump in price over the same sized 18's just isn't worth it to me. It's a bling factor of only 2 inches that I can live without.

I do have a question about the finish of wheels that I'm looking at. Ok, I know that I want to stay away from polished wheels since they don't seem to hold their finish as well (had some on another car). Chrome is nice but some prices tend to jump quite a bit on these. Then I see "machine mirror" finish on some rims and I'm wondering exactly what that is. How does it hold up compared to others and what maintenance is needed.

Thanks for the help. BTW I'm planning on running Nitto Terra Grappler 325/65r18.

"Machined Mirror" is polished, longer and with a finer grit. It's done on aluminum dirt bike frames forth ultimate "bling" effect. It will not compare to chrome though. If you're planning on having these wheels a while and you have better things to do then continuously clean your wheels, get chrome. I wouldn't pay an extra $100 each for 2" but I would for chrome. If you live in a state that salts the roads in the winter it's even more critical.
