Leather cleaning products

What do you guys recommend for cleaning and conditioning the leather seats on the Expy. What about cleaning the third row vinyl seats. I was told by an auto detailing place that Armor All is a bad idea. Over time it will discolor and dry out leather and vinyl. How often should they be cleaned.

The Meguiar's all-in-one is pretty good. I hear that the Lexol cleaner/conditioner is good stuff also.

Zaino makes an AMAZIng product... a little expensive, but it even protects the crappy Mustang seats from Cracks etc...

www.zainostore.com under the Products link 1/2 way down... 2 part system...

While there look at the Pics page... I have managed to get my Expy looking like that AFTER off-roading etc... by using their products

Their Polish is 2nd to none as well

I agree, zaino is great.

Their leather cleaner, besides cleaning the leather, is good for removing stains on plastic. Last winter I left a 24 pack of canned soda in the truck over night. At least 6 of them exploaded and froze all over the back drivers side window and plastic. 409 and other household cleaners just wouldn't take the frozen soda off the plastic without scrubbing. The Zaino leather cleaner wiped it right off with no effort. I'll never use another product on my leather besides Zaino.

I've been using Lexol for a while now and really like their cleaner and conditioner.

It may sound strange, but Mr. Clean Magic Eraser seems to clean EVERYTHING! It does leave a residue that can be wiped off with one of the conditioners listed previously

One thing you never want to skimp on, is your leather care. Use only the best you can afford, as leather ages faster than any surface in, or on your vehicle. It's also the most succeptible to chemical damage and discoloration.

You normally want to choose your products from a manufacturer that specializes in leather care, not from a company offering leather products in addition to a regular car care line.

You need to treat new leather with 2-3 applications of a conditioner, then every 6 months, clean and apply a new application. Be careful of your cleaners as well as the conditioners. Many contain solvents.

We have recommended Lexol for years, but reciently discovered what we believe, is the finest line of leather care in the industry. Leather Master is the brand and is formulated in Italy. It is also the premier choice of fine furnature and clothing lines worldwide.

For leather conditioning, I've been using Connolly Hide Care (older packaging was "Hide Food"). Been using it for my father's SAAB, wife's Volvo and now my Expy. It's been good stuff!

I use Meguirs all in one cleaner/conditioner spray on all of the leather in my 01 NAVI. When I bought it, there were some really dirty areas on the third row that would not come out, and a Magic Eraser did the trick. It works great on high use area like the center console cover and door arm rests.
