Great story! Always enjoy it when someone rescues one of these old Fords. Pics would be nice.

F700- nice truck. I wish I had that bed on mine, it will have to be replaced. I don't have a way to post pix but maybe I can get some help on that. Another Question, is the oil filter same as the FEs? Thanks

Went back to the sale site today armed with plugs, wires, oil and filter. I can't beleive what a job it was to get the old plugs out, Had to go after a 3/4" drive breaker bar, they were stuck in there like nothing I've ever seen. Any way it fired right up, idled and everything. Drove it around the farm, tried the dump- works fine. I think I might put a master cylinder on it and see if I can drive it home. Even thinking about painting it, wonder how tough it is to find fenders for the big trucks? And I still need to find a good bed.

Put a new master cylinder on it today, gravity bled the cylinder on the booster, no pedal. I'm sure I'll have to work on the wheel cylinders, but is there any special bleeding procedure?

Tried to bleed the brakes today- after more than a quart of fluid and still no pedal I discovered the fluid was leaking into the booster from the "secondary master cylinder". Is this part easy to find? Expensive? Rebuildable? Help
