As I'm not financially set to jump right into my resto, nor intelectually gifted..and the sort..
I did take the time to read several of the technical articles, mostly the humor ones. I found a very interesting one with great advice about starting a resto project. https://www.ford-trucks.com/article/...e_Builder.html
It said one of the things about being a member of such a group like FTE was to get involved and find the local chapter, get out there and lend a hand to get some info and hands on experience etc.. So where does one find his local chapter ? I'm Located in So Cal Costa Mesa CA and am slowly preparing to upgrade mostly a 66 F100 finding a small group doing the same sounds rather cool actually..
There is a meeting of most members of the Southern chapter and at least one northern chapter member at a car show at Knott's Berry Farm on 13 November. It is not my place to ask you (I am the northern boy) but I am sure everyone would like you to join us. We are getting together at a local coffee house and convoying over at 06:30. Just look for the parking lot full of old Ford trucks!
Please attend if you can - I promise a day full of eye candy and enough old trucks to warm the heart.
Right on ***** thanks, I''l keep my schedule as open as possible... On returning from HUB Auto today with some parts I noticed the Ford dealer on Harbor Blvd a block away from home was hosting a Classic Cars weekend.. I was underdressed so I had to pass.. ;( but boy was I tempted...
But I did get the carb rebuilt sucessfully... She runs like a top now... ,Redmanbob
