body mount rubber removal

What are the chances of the bolts that run through the body rubber mounts actually coming out with hand tools and not the hot wrench.

I want to change my rad support biscuits because they are both shot and being a Canadian truck, rusted fastners isnt an if question, its always, how bad.

I used a Sawzall to cut bolts,rubber,& all.Not as smoky as the gas axe.Brian(yes,I am redneck)

Cutting the bolts is a better option. What about breaking the bolts. With a long enough cheater bar you may be fortunate enough to shear them. No torch, No oil. Just a whole lot of leverage extremely fast. I know these bolts are thick but if there rusted through at all you may be able to break them right off.

What do you guys recommend on those mounts: Poly or rubber? My are badly cracked and mushroomed. Probably a saftey issue now rather than comfort.

I went with polyurethane.Didnt notice any difference in ride,rides pretty stiff regardless.Brian

Black Polyurethane by Energy Suspension. Supposedy are graphite impregnated (helps with squeaks). Summit racing has the bushing kit for the least amount of bread
