Brake controller - blue wire?
Hi, I know the blue wire from the brake controller goes to the rear plug to work the trailer brakes. My question is should there be power in the blue wire when the truck is on but not pushing the brakes? And if so how much? The test light does go on now, but I haven't checked it with a meter to see how much. And I assume it should increase when I push the brake pedal. How much? Thanks for any help.

I think there will be voltage present, at least with a Tekonsha controller (and probably others as well). The brake controller uses this to detect that a trailer is plugged into the truck and that voltage should go away when a trailer is connected.
