Yeah at least the Tassie devil isn't all that ugly.
But what about the Platypus.
I think they must have ran out of parts when designing that.
Just got some claws, ducks bill, fur and big tail and whacked it together.
And even better.. made it venomous! Powerful neurotoxin from what I saw on the critter channel.. WHO KNEW? Apparently there is a spine near the rear leg and tail thats chock full of venom.

I read somewhere that 85% of the world venomous animal population was located in Australia, and Aussies thought that was just hysterically funny.
It is actually quite funny, I had a friend from England who came over about 2 months ago, we were walking along, and I saw a 6 foot king brown snake - he didn't.
We kept walking, and he didn't notice it until he was 3 foot away from it. I think he tried to leap into orbit when he saw it.
I laughed at him - and he asked if the reason of my amusment was because it wasn't venemous.
I said... Um, no, you happened to almost walk on a lovely specimen of the most venomous snake in the world.
He didn't kind of see the funny side like I did.
In all seriousness. We leave them alone, they leave us alone.
