The floor of my bed is rotted through very badly, and the drivers side is sagging, I was thinking about useing bed repair panels for the floor and useing "L" brackets to help reenforce the sides. Do you think this will work? Any suggestions? I woudld love some help, it detracts from the rest of the truck like you wouldent beleive
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 26-May-02 AT 11:41 PM (EST)]I concur.
If your box is that rotted out, and your truck is still running well, I'd look into getting a box that is in better shape. The floor panels do work well, but only for holes. I agree with vampiro - you can't weld to rotten metal, it won't hold and you will be wasting time and money.
BTW - what you propose may very well work - but how long till the rest of the box goes?
Just my two-cents!
Cheers!
Where are you located I have an extra solid 8 foot box that I need to part with.
