Electrical Component...

I have a '77 Bronco and I am trying to figure out an electrical component that is under my hood. It is sharing a bolt from my voltage regulator to be fastened to the inner fender. It has 1 lead coming from it that is connected to the plug that goes into the voltage regulator. It looks almost like a points condenser just with a different connector on the end and a flange to fasten it down to the inner fender (ground). Can anyone tell me what this is? I think it is unique to the '77. Thanks.

That's exactly what it is. It filters out noise so it won't get in the radio.

These people carry them. www.partsamerica.com They are the same as Advance Auto Parts, Checker Auto Parts, Schuck’s Auto Supply and Kragen Auto Parts.

Go to the search box and type in arc23. That's the GP Sorenson part number and it's $4.36
