Does anyone have a picture of the voltage reg. install on a 1993. I'm having a little trouble locating mine. I thought it was on the passenger side inner fender but I can seem to locate it.
My 91's is on the inner fender well just behind the passenger side battery, just below the GP relay. Did they change to the alternator with a built in regulator on the 93's? I don't know! Someone will chime in with an answer.
If the regulator is internal, there are wire connections across two locations on the alternator if it has more than one wire hooked up.
There is a Leece Neville alternator mainly used in the ambulance package that has only one wire going to the alternator and no external connections except that wire.
And then there are the external regulators that have three wires going to them from an external harness running over from behind the passenger side battery.
Took a look at the alt. that is installed on my truck, the regulator is mounted to the back of the alternator. I was going to tie into it for power to my fuel pump relay. I want to use the wire coming off the fuel shut off solenoid on the IP. I guess I'll just tie into it at the pump and zip tie the wire to the harness.
