The head light switch **** on my 04 xl seems to have a little clear area in the **** that you would think would light up but mine doesn't. Is mine blown out or do the xlt's only have it?

 

Just something to keep in mind. As long as your truck was made in USA (not Canada) then your XL is prewired for all options. Conversley the XLT has the potential for the extra electrical things that the Lariet has. I think you get the picture (You have a the complete harness but missing alot of pigtails). IF you do not have the switch just add it. The tricky part is finding out which wire to hook into.

Ok, I just went out in my bunny slippers to check my '04 XL, and the little white thing that points toward your light setting does not light up.

My 2005 F-250 XLT does not light up.

 

my 2004 lights when pulled out foglights on position. if you dont have fog lights maybe it doesnt light up. 04 xlt cc lb

 

I have fog lights on my truck. When my fog lights are on the fog light emblem is illuminated. I thought you guys were talking about the switch itself, because it does not light up on my truck.
