I was wondering if the turn signal is supposed to cancel after turning in my 66 f-250. Right now I have to manually move it back to the neutral position after turning. Is that how it was designed to be or is something broke.
Yes it is supposed to return. There is a plastic piece in with the switch that is supposed to turn it off, but apparently yours is broken. I think it will require the replacement of the switch to get that function back. I got tired of buying switches and wired in two toggle switches(but you have to really know your wiring to get that to work with the turn signal and brake lights sharing a filamint). I feel sure somebody offers a replacement.
I bought a new came from Vintage and it fixed my problems. They have two styles one with wires one without. The cam with wires is for the trucks with Emergency flashers.
