Oil Anaylsis?
Whats the oil anaylsis thing you guys are always talking about? How would I do that (send sample to???)
My truck has 331k on it and I got it with 317k on it and have never had it analyized. I plan on doing alot of work on my truck this weekend so any input would be helpful. Thanks

blacksone oil analysys is the way to go. check out there site request the bottles. you get em in the mail a few days later drain your oil half way through fill sample bottle and send it to them. a few days later they email and send you analysis results in mail. they also at that time send you 2 more sample bottles. click here to see mine you gotta make it full size to read it. good luck

Just a couple of hints for getting the USPS to send it without a big hassle:
1. Fill the sample bottle full, so it doesn't "gurgle" when shaken.
2. When asked what it contains, tell them "a specimen".
Since the pre-printed lables show it going to a lab, they might ask if it's "a biohazard", to which you can truthfully answer "no".
Shouldn't cost more than around $1.75 to send it First Class. It doesn't have to go "priority" or anything like that.
"Cheapest way possible, please".
