Every where I read says my 52 F1 uses a 6x9 speaker, but I cannot mount it where i think it would go. It seems to be to big to fit above radio. Please where does it go, and how? Thanks in advance.

Reason: A little punctuation for readability
There's a grill above the radio that's just below the stainless trim on the dash. If you remove it, there's an opening for the speaker. I believe you might be able to mount it from the back side of the dash. The shop manual has several pics in the back half of the dash and the radio setup.
barry thats where i have been trying to mount it but theres noy enough room nor are there bolt or bolr holes to mt. i will check shop manual i must have missed that section thanks clyde
A newer aftermarket speaker may have a bigger magnet. Not sure if that is what you have. As a test fit item try a stock one of some kind out of a junkyard car. It will have a smaller maget and housing maybe.
Not familiar with the F1 speaker, but many later model fords use a 5x7, which is sometimes harder to come by as many installers will replace the speaker with a 5.25" speaker and a mounting plate. Most larger audio retailers would stock a limited selection (brand-names) of 5x7's. You can also find them for shallow-depth applications (but you said that wasn't an issue).
Maybe they used them back then—I had a 64 mercury with 5x7 factory locations under the rear deck.
