Jeff/Polar have you guys heard anything about this yet??
Ford Motor Co.said Wednesday it is raising incentives on slower-selling SUVs and its high-volume pickups from the 2005 model year as an effort to clear cut its inventory. The company will begin offering 0% financing for up to 72 months on the Ford F-150 truck and the larger Explorer and Expedition SUVs. The company's Lincoln and Mercury brands will also offer the incentive on the Mountaineer and Aviator SUVs, which are the same size as the Explorer.
Ford did start offering 0%, up to 72 months, for tier 0 & 1 Ford Credit (ie, perfect credit) customers on all 2005 F-150s and 2005 Explorers ('05 Expedition has had it since October 4th). But it's not compatible with any of the other programs (Ford Credit bonus cash, for example), and it's only good on 2005s, of which I have NONE. What good is it to offer a program on a vehicle that doesn't exist?

Yeah, I hear that...I also see on the fordvehicles site, it says they are offering 0% on most 05 Ford vehicles for 60 months....Again, the stickler seems to be rebates/discounts or the APR....If they would allow you to combine them, they would wipe out most of the remaining 05's sitting on lots I would guess....
There's 0% for 60 months on 2005 Taurus and Freestar only, at least in my region.
Please, PLEASE don't confuse "discounts" with "incentives." I'm amazed how many people think they can't negotiate the price of a vehicle because there's 0% financing on it. These are two separate transactions; the dealer doesn't pay a dime to Ford to get the low-rate financing. Yes, many salespeople want you to THINK the sticker price is the selling price because of 0%, but rebates/ 0% financing is an incentive that the MANUFACTURER is offering to the CONSUMER- it's between you and Ford, and has nothing to do with the dealer's ultimate selling price.
Don't worry Jeff, I wasn't confusing the two. Thats why I mentioned them together, my point was the special APR is either alone or you can take the heavy rebates, In the case of the 05 Taurus, you can get $5,000 ($4,000 + $1,000) right off the top, but not with 0%/60 months, or you can get $1,000 AND 0%/60 months...At least thats how I read the fordvehicles site....I just thought I would mention above the 72 months on the F150 at 0% because that can make a difference on an expensive purchase...
Just trying to help...
