05 Ranger CD/MP3

Hi,

I have an 05 Ford Ranger, with the CD/mp3 player. My problem is when I burn a disk with mp3s It takes about a minute to "initialize" and then It says something link CD Mute on the display while the track timer starts counting up. Nothing I can click seems to change anything, Any ideas?

maybe try changing some of the preferences when burning the disc
make sure its a standard mp3 format and
trying closing the disc after burning
or the volume leveling

g/l

does the disc play in another mp3 player(not computer)?

try to burn as SLOW as possible, some cd players wont like cd's burn higher than 12x or so. also, good cd's play a huge part too
