Ok.... I took my 300 inline out of my 1970 f-100 and dropped a 360 from a 75 into it.. I have a 4 speed.. The trans from the 75 was a automatic.. i changed the bell housing attached a flywheeel and new clutch blah blah blah... But now that the 360 is sitting in the mounts the tranny is about 6 inches away from the enigine.... Is there kits for such a job? or is there a way to move the tranny forward... if anyone has encountered this problem please give me some ideas
thanks.
I removed a 300/four speed from an old F250 and replaced it with a 390 automatic. I had to move the engine perched back towards the cab. If you dig around the crossmember, you'll find alternate mounting holes.
ok ok i found the other mounting holes thanks i had to dig through about 2 inches of sludge.... poor old ford lol ill clean er up work in progress, oh and yes the engine came together with the tranny perfect
