Hello,I am having a rondom misfire on a 99 f250 v10.I have had the dealership run the tests, and all they can come up with is a random misfire...so my question is, Is there any way to test these! Can i buy just one and put it on and have it tested if it corrects it I would leave it, But if not can I put the org.one back on and move to the next one to try and determine which one it is.seeing that i have ten of these this is gonna cost me if you tell me i have to replace all of them! Anyone got any advice on this problem?????
That is real fun to find without the right equipment, any good dealer should be able to scope it with wds or pds/vcm and find the cylinder. Just running a simple eec test will not help you with this.

You must be talking about cop's ,yes you can buy one and move it around.
If you have a DVM(digatal volt ohm meter ) you can measure the resistance of the coil.Best to do it when its hot, this is when they break down.
You may also have a bad sparkplugboot that is alowing the secondary ignition to short to ground or even a sparkplug itself.
Have the sparkplugs ever been changed?
You could have a dirty fuel filter or a bad injecter or dirty injecter
If you can't do any of this find a different dealer or an independent mechanic.
