water leak

water leak

my 98 150 regular cab has water coming in on the right side windshield post @ the grab handle . It drips in and runs over the dash and on the floor. Has any one else had that problem? what is the fix? hman

Resealing the windshield. This unfortunately,was a common issue. But get it done soon. The water has a tendency to run into the fuse panel under the dash. Most windshield places will do it for you for cheap. Just make sure that they are willing to replace the windshield if they break it. They don't always come out that easy.

couldn't you just buy some of that windshiels sealer in a tube and try to fix it yourself?

Yes you could. It's just me, I prefer to have it pulled, cleaned and new sealer. Taking to them is not a requirement, just a suggestion.

I would have to admit that appplying the sealant yourself will only last so long especially if you don't get it cleaned up properly.

Thanks for the input. Kinda thought it was the windshield,The rear slider was leaking and I tried to seal it and I ended up getting it replaced $300.00 !! Guess I have to take it to the glass shop. hman
