Whatever the symptoms, you can remove it by adding fuel system drier (ethanol) to your gas. Most pour-in injector/carb cleaners have some. I think Sta-bil also claims to help.

Depends on how much water got in, how much drier you put in, how much gas is in the tank, and how much "dried" gas you've burnt out. Have you pulled the codes? Have you checked the obvious things like vacuum leaks, spark plugs, wires, cap & rotor, fuel filter, etc.?

Yes, but idle fluctuation is more commonly a result of a bad IAC. Have you pulled the codes yet?

today i started my truck and it was running like crap ( bearly idleing and would cough, backfire thru the TB and try to die) so i poped the hood and unpluged my MAP to see what would happen ( usually the idle goes up when unplugged) and then it died so i pluged it back in and it would fire occasionally but wouldnt start untill after 20 mins of trying soo could the MAP be bad or is it somthing else

The MAP should set a code, but get a multimeter and a Haynes and check it and the other sensors.

I dunno what that means - that's why I use Haynes.

If you think chasing vacuum leaks and guessing at ignition faults would be easier, go for it. I'll stick with EFI!
