I am new to this site. I am looking to purchase a 5th wheel the dry weighs 14,800lbs. It is a toy hauler so loaded will be in the 17000 - 18000 lbs range. Does the Ford f-350 come in a SINGLE REAR WHEEL 4X4 Tow Boss package? If so, does anyone know where I can view the specs of the SRW Tow Boss online? At ford.com they only show specs on a DRW.

How much weight can I pull with a 2006 Ford F350, DRW, Tow Boss Package, 6.0 Turbo Diesel. We are looking to purchase a Fifth Wheel and need some advice on how much weight I can pull. Estimates vary from 15,300 to 19,200. Confused.
It depends on the truck you spec. single cab 2*4 with diesel and torqueshift is 19,200. The link above by MarkHB if you change to hte towing tab will show you this. I think deisel, 4*4, crew cab, long box, dually with Tow Boss 4.30 gears, integrated brake controller is right about 15000 trailer. If you go down to a v10 with ATS, a bit more due to hte lighter motor. I would look at a 5wh with 14k GVW with the towboss deisel and you should be good to go. Newer trailers are a lot lighter than they were.... You can still load up the truck a bit more for longer trips, and be within weights. If you want to go much above 15k, then perhaps F450 is the way to go.....
Towing capacity for 2009 Tow Boss F-350 ranges from 17,700 to 18,800 depending upon cab / drive configurations - for a fifth wheel. 15,000 is capacity for the receiver hitch (with weight distributing hitch). Tow Boss is only available on DRW with the 6.4 PSD. No SRW availability.

May have to cut and paste it in the address bar. Hope it helps.
I have a 2006 F350 Crew Cab DRW with Tow Boss Package; 6.0 Diesel. If I am reading the information correctly. I have a fifth wheel towing capacity of over 18000 lbs. We are looking at buying a fifth wheel and I need to start finding out my limitations and factors before buying a fifth wheel. Anything else I should think about. The 6.0 diesel is good and does not have any of the problems that were associated with the 6.0 diesel. It does have airbags; and I cannot figure out they operate. I cannot find a air insert to inflate them; so they must be automatic. I am learning but looking forward to retirement with my better half. It is a 4x4, with a long bed.
Can you not just follow the lines that come out of the top of the airbags to see where they go?
I've seen some that come out at the license plate. The guy had each side come out at the bottom holes of the license plate. I thought that was kinda cool.

Here is the link to the 2006 Towing Guide. It looks like your truck is rated for 18,100 max.

They disappear into the rear wheel wells and they have covers inside the wells. I will keep looking. It is mystery which makes finding them an adventure.
The Tow Boss package upgrades the GCVWR(Gross Combined Vehicle Weight Rating) to 26,000lbs. So 26,000 minus the weight of your truck, is what you can tow. That is putting it in simple terms, don't forget about the pin weight although I don't think that will be an issue.
