Hello everyone,
A co-worker has a 99 3.0 Ranger. Last week his oil pump failed and trashed his motor. The truck is well taken care of and has only 46k. Is this a common problem with this engine? I've owned several 3 liter cars and trucks with no such problem. What have you heard?
my old shop teacher in high school has a 99 3.00 and the same thing happened. but i think it was his use of very thick 20w50 oil but a reman enigne was 4,100.00.
my oil pick up tube fell of at about 30k, shut the motor right off and had ford pull it and fix it.... then they bitched that i made them put valvoline in it
