There's a lady staying with us right now who says that you should use your name just as you sign it. I only use the middle initial in my siganture, not my full middle name so I added the numbers up that way. Now I come up with a 4...a little closer perhaps, but still not all correct. Or maybe it's all in the way I perceive myself. Maybe I should have someone else read the descriptions and tell me which one fits me most accurately.

I assumed by the way ranger typed in the numbers that a-i were 1-9 and j-r were 1-9 and s-z were 1-8, so i added the letters in my name like that and I get a 70.

This is correct

Then I figured I'd be a smartass to see if I was really two numbers at once and added up the letters a-z as if they were 1-26, so my name now produced a 196.

hmmmmm, well 70 = 7 and.....196 = 16 = 7!!!

any group of numbers that add up to 9 cancel themselves out

Hey!, I'm special

agreed !

It doesn't matter if I add my birth info cause that number would still be the same, right?

Wrong, it should be different unless all the numbers for your birth date add up to 9

How rare/common is this dual addition name adding thing or did I just blow your mind!?

My Mind is fine, the way it is supposed to work is to total the names & birth info as per your birth certificate... as this is the info you have been assigned from the start

Yeah, I do agree with the descriptions being a bit vague. I didn't get it from ana ctual numerology book, but rather some kind of a biography that had it in there, analyzing the person. It is strange how for some it is dead on. For everybody I have tried it perfectly fit their description. I don't take any of this, or horoscopes or any of that seriously, just thought this was something kinda fun.

I thought you did great Ranger just by creating this thread.

Like I said , I gave it 5 stars.

If people here really want to explore "Self-realization" they should pick up this book.

http://keirsey.com/pumII.html

I did in when it first came out.

It's great because you are answering questions about yourself and the result is a real life description.

After doing the complete work-up on the typing ,it nailed me

The way you add them up doesn't matter. If you add them all up as in 1+2+3+5+9+6 you get 26, or 8(2+6=8). If you add up the same numbers but add them into themselves as in 1+2+3= 6, 6+5= 11, which =2, then add 9 (which is self cancelling) you still have 11, or 2 when you break it down, then add the 6 again and you still end up with 8. It's a fun way to pass the time while driving. Add up the numbers on a mileage sign, or the serial numbers on a trailer.

I had always thought that your numerology number was your birthday: 4 digit year+2digit minth+2digit day (Mine is 1965/06/03, which makes me a three. Of course, my name- all three of them- add up to nine, so with my birthday, I am still a three, and not too far off of the description of said number).

With my middle name I am a 6; without it I am a 4. I think I'm more of a 4.

I'm a 7 with my full first middle and last name, and then when that is added to my birthday, it comes back to 7 again...it's pretty close too.
