I have a 76-f-250 and really need help please i have one igntion wire pink its heavy gauge where does it go its the last wire i need to figure out to get it started please.also whats the accy for in the fusebox i know tis an abrreviation for someting.

The only Pink Wire I known of was used with the DuraSpark II system and it ran from the Ign. Mod. to the Distributor. It was Pink with a blue stripe.
The ACCY is Fuse F10, a 20 Amp Fuse for :
1. Speed Control
2. Heated Backlight Relay
3. Marker Lamp Relay
4. Dual Battery Relay

thanks that helps some. this truck sure had alot of options. I know it has the accy, and there is that wire with a yellow plug on it for 3 plugs to go into. I hink I might be able to figure it out now though thanks.

On my wiper switch there is a orange wire with a white stripe has a plug on it do you know where that goes? This wiring is hard o figure out Im finding were most all the wires go, what they are for and the connectors but some are still puzzling.Thanks for the help.

so the wire running from the wiper switch plugs into the accy wire it has a yellow plug end for 3 connectors. the pink wire on my igntion is solid pink, havey gaugge says moisture resistant not sure where it goes yet.

please help my 76 f-250 I need to know ehere each ignition wire goes to, there are 6 wires total
1.thick solid yellow
2.thick black w green stripe
3.small pink w white stripe
4.small red w green stripe
5.small red w blue stripe
6.thick solid pink wire (its the only one i dont know where it goes the others are hooked up.)
anyone know otr have a smilar ignition with an extra wire that goes somewhere?

everything is working with the wire not connected, then it isn't a problem and doesn't matter if it is hooked up. If you drive the truck without it hooked up and something else begins to happen, for example: the bright lights won't turn on, then you can hook the wire to the lights and see if they continue to give you trouble on bright. it's the process of elimination when working on any car.

Too bad the original poster didn’t come back to post the solution.
If I had seen it back then my first thought about a pink wire that looks like a larger gauge coming off the back of the ignition switch, would’ve been to suggest that it was the resistor wire to the ignition coil.
However some Fords also used a pink, or purple wire for the “prove out“ circuit to illuminate the dash mounted brake warning light.
Not sure what it ended up being in the OP’s case.
