Dead!

My 1984 F150 351HO Holley 4V carb, that is.

Summit racing offers Holley and Edelbrock.....will the Edelbrock bolt on with no modification?

I have never seen a carb kill a truck dead before. It would be a shame to buy a new carb and it still didn't run.

It's belching black smoke and rough idling, hard to get the old girl moving. This carb has 210,000 miles on it and I've thought it was near another rebuild, tech says no. She ain't dead, but I'm unplugging lifesupport.

Besides Holley, what can be bolted to existing manifold?

Edelbrock will bolt on just fine, no mods required.

Mech agrees.....I'm gonna replace the Holley 4V. I appreciate the help offered on this site, so again.....1984 F150 Supercab, 351HO, auto trans....

looking at Summitracing all I find are reman Holley's....I must be missing something. Suggestions greatly appreciated, my mech is waiting to get this truck back to the deer lease.

you can et holleys at napa, shucks or autozone as well as most part stores you can also get edel's too from them.

Here we go, mech suggests Holley (factory) for emissions.

Is the Holley Street Avenger 670cfm the one that I want?.....electric choke

The 670CFM Street Avenger will be here Tuesday.

$324 delivered.....with a mail in re-bate of $25 = $299.

I would pick a holley myself, but thats just me.

Picked up truck yesterday with new Holley Street Avenger 670CFM 4V, electric choke.

AWESOME.....quick starting (only 1/2 pumped the accelerator when cold), smooth idle, smooooooth and STRONG acceleration. Mech says this was an easy install.....wonder why Edelbrock gets so much attention?
