Just wanted to share the joy

I just was so excited to pick my truck up from the painter today that I just had the urge to share it with everyone. It is a 1978 F150 painted Dark Indigo Blue Metalic, beautiful isn't it. Well I will let you all enjoy it if you want I am off to Edmonton, Canada tommorow (9th-12th) for work but I just had to share.

Why was it on a car trailer? That is a bit offensive...

Dark Blue is my most favorite paint to go the 73-79, next to Dark Jade. Is that the original paint?

Dude, that is so awsome...

Hope ya enjoy your time in Edmonton. Pretty cool place...eps check out Whyte Ave. The coolest spot in Edmonton. (The mall (West Ed) has that wow factor the first time, but man it is expensive so be carefull.) Lived there for several years (and surrounding towns) just before I moved where I am at...near Red Deer. (A little place called Stettler.)

Can't wait to see that truck finished!

Nice! What's the big deal with towing it? You saw what the tow vehicle was, right?

Just maybe it isn't licensed for the road while it's being worked on.

You must be flying in to Edmonton.

Also, don't answer this as you have probably left already.

Well a quick look revealed that there is no license plate, rear lights and probably no front lights
So I would guess it is being trailered because it isnt fully assembled and/or road legal yet.
Have to do what you have to do.......fines are expensive
Note the tow vehicle is a Ford Truck of the 73-79 vintage by the looks of the rear marker light.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 09-Jun-02 AT 10:39 PM (EST)]If you note, he has 3 trucks. 2 79's and a 78. I would guess it was the other 79!

Note the rust in the typical location...I would be guessing she is next!

Tre' cool

Man the truck looks great. I can't wait to see the finished product. I remember how I felt when I first got mine back. I probally put 100 miles on it making the 7 mile drive from the shop to my house.

That looks Awesome! I love it! Nice color choice.
The body looks very straight too.

How much was the paint job?
Is that single stage or base/coat clear/coat?

Well guys I have returned from Edmonton (BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY by the way). Thanks for all the comments I will try and answer the qestions I have seen. First it is being towed because I had it painted in Indiana and I live in Michigan, second the motor and all related parts are sitting in my garage, and third as others have pointed out I have no plates for it. Also the tow vehicle is my 79' F250 with a 351M, I call it the "midnight smoker", hahhaha, it has a small smoking problem b4 it gets warm. The color I had it painted was Dark Indigo Blue Metallic, it is a base coat clear coat and the total damage was $3,035.00. I think the guy did an excellent job seeing this is how it looked b4

So hope that clears some stuff up

AND THANKS EVERYONE!!!!! glad you guys like it, I sure do,
