Power Windows
Anywho...they are getting a CRL rear slider window...I WANT ONE. Anybody ever hear of them? Anybody know of anyone to put one it? Anybody know how much? (They only sell to business
wich means I cannot find out.) Check it out here: http://www.crlaurence.com/ProductPages/frameGen.asp?Product=PS950&ProductID=3119
Now what about the side windows? Did make power door locks, windows? I want to upgrade the interior with mild mod's this year. (Stereo is first!) Any aftermarket power products that I should be looking at? I would also like a outside remote, just cuz I am lazy and it looks real cool!
Oh yea, I have a '79 F-250 if ya are wondering!
Thanks all.

One reason is that they have there own regulator rather that using your old one. Also, they are custom made for the application. They seem to be inline with the other prices that I've seen at about $200.
As for the rear slider, I have a Power-Slider in my truck and I would reccomend one to anyone that was looking to install one in their rig. I installed mine myself and it was a piece of cake. It's been in my truck for about 6 years and it has never had any problems. I bought it for about $300.00 and it came pre-tinted.
Contact your local camper shell dealer if you are looking to buy one and if they can't help you, let me know and I'll get you in touch with someone that can.

Thanks guys for the help! Also I found one source, A1Electronic.com for the other stuff. Still looking to compare!
Thanks again!

Sadly, no. I am waiting for the right opportunity to install the electric-life kits sold by a1electric.com though!
I guess I better save up for the new paint first though. Darn rust!

Weldman: Heh.. I could have sworn you had power windows in your truck. Oh well, I guess my statement was more incentive to do it, huh? After looking at A1's page, I'm going to order a set tomorrow. From the pictures, they look well fabricated. I wish I would have known about them earlier.

We put power windows on our f100 cost was nothing. the electric
motor out of the ford dual opening tail gate from the station wagon
was used all you do is take the winder with the gear off and put the motor where the old winder was all inside the door just a small bit of brazing. works very good no noise glides right up.
regards Mark...

Good luck with the kit, PLEASE let us (me) know how the kit installs. You might convince me to order a kit too, you never know!
My dad and I (mostly my dad) bought a new F250, so the money's gotta stretch even further these days!
I do have power locks, maybe that's what you were thinking of.

Canadians unite! Speedy (most helpful) or Crystal Glass (useless as two **** on a boar) carry them. Crystal said that he has heard of the coil freezing in winter and burning it out. Speedy gave me a price of $350 - $400, $500 for installed!
Thanks to all that have given me info and led me to great sites.
A1 has been a great source of info. A1 was really helpfull, and I really like thier stuff as it is buildable. (Add the locks one month, remotes the next, then alarm ect.) However I much rather like the idea of Autoloc. Thier locks work right off the existing plungers to activate BOTH doors by either the key or plungers acting as switches as well. (Has it's ups and downs, but mostly ups.) Thier system is not upgradable from the info that I have found. Thier remotes though will probably be able to activate the rear window, power windows and 1 other thing. (Hood pop?) They also carry really cool switches (and I am still awaiting info if they will work for this truck) that activate from the stock crank. (15 degrees one way for up, the other for down!) I like the OEM look.
Boy I really like the idea of the station wagon, how much work was it. It probably was as much frustration and hassel as purchasing and starting new. However it has that home growin' feel about DIYR's (Do It Yourself Rsss.)
Now gota think about that. You guys are awsome.
Thanks
Ryan
Where are ya from man?
I'm east of Toronto, were you saying that Speedy could get you the electric-life kits or are they another brand? $400 Canadian don't sound bad at all man! The Electric-life kits are over $450 with the exchange!
Lemme know!

Offically, $425 + Brian's Tax (GST), labour, $25 for the window, the stationary window gasket (could be $40's if you don't have conections) and the electric install maybe 2 hours. The guy was a ***, but the normal sliders are $225 to $275. For the extra bones man, I am definatly going the power way.
I figure that the electric is fairly straight forward and simple. I Can wire most things with my eyes wide shut!
(I have been thinking if one of us could bring them in wholesale, I wonder if the shipping + a bit of cash to cover time would work out being cheaper????)

P.S. Stettler, Alberta is near Red Deer (1 hour East). If you don't know either place, taking the back roads about 2 hours from either Edmonton or Calgary DEPENDING on how much you have to spend on fuel and speeding tickets! I got the prices from Red Deer.
