Has anyone converted the manuals to electric? Gonna get some out of a 98 this weekend and need to find out what the problems maybe encountered making the swap.
If ya can help please send a private message, or share here. I am hoping on finding new seats when I go to pickup the windows!
If you don't have power windows there will not be any wiring in you truck for them. You will need the harness from each door, the dash harness, switches and maybe the gem. You may as well get the power mirrors as they will be easy after the windows.
The big problem will be the dash, you will have to remove it and take it all apart to change the wiring harness. I would just get the dash from the other truck and swap it if its the same color. I not sure about the other harness's you may need them too, depending on the year.

I put after market power windows in my truck made by electriclife. The regulators are an exact copy of the factory ones. They sell a wiring kit that includes all the switches and stuff for $50. I cut out the hole around the cranks location with a dremel and put my switches there so that the hole was covered. The only problems i had was the tight clearence where i put the switches, i had to cut the metal in the door with tin snips so the switches could sit flush in the panel. Also the factory regulators are a pain in the *** to remove, you have to remove 4 aluminum pop rivets on each regulator and the want to spin when you try to drill.
Heres the links for the window regulators and switch kit that i used. If you plan on using factory regulators then cut the connector and bring it with you because the aftermarket wiring kit probably uses a different plug.
I got the complete doors (it was a rollover but could not get the wiring harness. Did get the harness connectors for each side. The was 1 plug on the drivers side that appears to be the power connector can anyone confirm?
BTW this is from a 98 so if anyone has a wiring schematic that thay could scan it would be appreciated. I think that some of the pins are for the speakers but am not sure. got everything but the glass.
The door wiring harness connects the dash harness on each side at the kick panel. Remove each kick panel and you will see the connector. I don't have wiring diag with me and so don't have the wire colors handy. with both doors you can put the windows, locks, mirrors on your truck but you will need the diagram. So if anyone out there has the info for connector wiring pass it along.

Ps: the radio speaker wiring is also in that connector..
FYI, the power window circuit runs through the drivers side so that side has power going in and it just t's off and goes to the passenger side, and the wires from the passenger side motor runs back to the drivers side.
