I did a search and was actually just going to edit my previous post, but since you replied I'll just put it here. I found something about a flasher unit in the dash (like behind the intsrument panel). Is that the one that you're talking about? Thanks for the info on what wires should be hot/have continuity - I'll check that out tomorrow.

yeah you have two flashers one for hazzards one for turn signals the one for the hazards is closer towards the radio the turn signal one is closer to the fuse box.....

I got it wrong on my previous post in that

right turn is blue to wht/blu to yel/blk

left turn is blue to grn/wht to grn

so when you signal right you should have continuity to thos wires and you should not have continuity between the blue wire and the left turn wires.....

So I'm looking today and only finding the one for the emer flashers. For the life of me I couldn't find the other one. Of course, it helps when there is actually one there too!!! I took the emer flash and plugged it into to the turn signals to verify that everything worked correctly, and they sure did. Tomorrow I will go get another one (or two) of these deals and be on my way. Thanks a bunch to everyone who helped!!!
