Is anyone else getting sick of these $1.60 gas prices? I just put in $15 and got almost 9gallons. It is supose to be over $2.00 by summer. If everyone in the country stopped buying for one day that would change their minds about raising prices 3 months ago i was still buying 89 or 92 for my 77 now it just sits and i drive my gutless wonder bronco2. Would be nice to see it go back to what they were .99cents a gallon this is getting just stupid $1.75 a gallon? my buddie had to stop driving his thunderbird Supercoupe because of the prices of premium. my 2 cents.

YOUR SICK OF IT?! man i own and operate a semi truck fer a living.i have been sick of it fer the past year.it has cut into my profits by over $250 to $350 a week.them darn democrats are what started this crud and im plum sick of it!im so glad that BILL CLINTON is out of the white house that i cant stand it.but it will take some time for BUSH to get things back under control.but every year since i can remember the prices go up during the summer months.because of every one traveling.the best way to stop all this is to not drive for a week.but everyone has to stop.thats going to be the hard part.because everyone likes to drive to much.
gas prices are going up for the same reason energy prices are going up for the same reason CA is in an energy prices are costing an arm and a leg. Because they can.
I must real lucky. I filled my riceburner up with gas the the other day and paid $1.29 a gallon. That's one good thing about a rice burner: even if gas is $1.49 a gallon, you can fill it up for $20.
i drive a dual tank diesel. over 2 dollars a gallon already. it aint fun. i say we go bomb those dang *******s over in ther little oil land and take what we need.
As mentioned above, we will have to get used to it. These price gouges are not going to ever disappear. The only real solution for this problem is to increase mileage and cut back on useage. I am 100% for the drilling in alaska. The US should have no choice but to start using at least 50% of our own oil, this will cut OPEC's incoming money and lower costs again for us. it's a win-win solution!
Gas in NE Ohio is $1.56 - $1.69 for regular. Unfortinately my truck likes the mid grades $1.66 - $1.79 per gallon. At about $50 every week or two for fuel, I am going broke fast.
LAST EDITED ON 17-Apr-01 AT 09:43 PM (EST)[p]I know, this deal about us relying on foreign sources for our oil and gas needs to stop. If we are that dependant on foreign sources then where is all of the oil we are bringing up going?

You believe drilling on our own soil will solve the problem? Tell me. What will you do when that oil is all gone? Crawl back to foreign countries and beg for oil? And once our own oil is gone, OPEC will see that we have no choice but to buy from them and jack the prices sky high!!
