...bummed I didn't do this a year ago!
I am very pleased. 9000lb. load, 6% grade at 8500ft and no surge!
If any of you have a chip or programmer with exhaust and intake upgrades, this is a must do.
Thank you to all of you that posted info. about your install, it make this mod a walk in the park. 2hrs 20 min from start to clean up and putting the tools away.
That's great AustinS. I agree on the must do. So what if you lose a pound or two on the boost. All that irritating stall is gone.
i can make 28lbs of boost with just the tow tune on the predator... i think i can afford to loose a pound or two to get rid of the flutter/stall..! now... if I could just loose a pound or two..!
thats a little too much for the stocker. i would want something to put me back in the 24-25 lb. range.
that is with the stock wheel... problem is that piece of junk can't hold that boost... give me the whicked wheel and 26lbs of boost while towing and i'll pull 90% of the hills in overdrive with no problem..!
i heard the stock (not ATS) housing is only good for 25 pounds. i saw a vid clip where a guy blew out part of the casting of the compressor housing (made a hole) at ONLY 32 psi.
