2001 Ford Explorer Coolant flush
All,
I was just told by the dealer, I was due for a coolant flush. I've got 43K on the clock. I was wondering how to go about doing this myself, to help save some money. It can't be that hard to do.
I was also told I was soon to need front brakes, I think I can handle the pads and rotor bit...
TIA, as always!

A couple of years ago I decided to start doing some of my own work on my Explorer (plugs, wires, pads, coolant). I started with a Haynes Manual and (a great deal) of help from FTE. This year I advanced to a motor/tranny swap.
"Flush and Fill" is a piece of cake but do yourself a favour and buy the Haynes Manual as it goes through detailed instructions for most routine maintenance and will be invaluable as you go forward.
I'm not shilling for Haynes, I have Chilton too and it is equally as good.
Good luck.
