Yours must be a 2009, they didn't leave anything off. Pity! Somebody can probably fix that for you.
It's an '08 F350, 4x4, SRW, CC, LWB now with 95,955 mi on her and I absolutely love it! But, it has all the above predicted smog reducing poop it came with when it was born.
My main concern is the self-destruction created by the DPF and EGR. I have put the last 45k on it (as I bought it used) in may of 2013. Yep 45K in the last year, and every time it re-gens I just cringe knowing whats happening to the innards. That being said, I recently spoke to a retired Ford factory service rep, I mean from Dearborn, MI kind of rep. His recomendation was to leave it alone and more or less "put up with it". His take on fuel contaminating the oil was "fuel is gonna' contaminate the oil anyway", while he's probably right, I don't believe it is to the degree that the DPF diesels contaminate their oil. He also recommended semi-synthetic or standard diesel oils because the full-synthetics don't "carry away the paraffin contained in diesel fuel", as I said, he was a factory guy and had his own shop for years and don't even ask him about a programmer, he didn't like those either. But I need to delete....I think.
Thanks for your input.
