Newbie here, '99 250 sd 7.3 4x4. I just started to changeover from the oem hubs to Warn hubs. The vacuum had been disconnected for some time and the hubs were very difficult to turn. The new Warn hubs are recessed inside the hubcap a bit and I am looking for a cosmetic cover to plug the hole that is easily removed. Has anyone found any such thing? I have looked at several accessory websites but no joy. Changing the hub cap to a rear style is a possibility but a pain to have to remove it to lock in the hubs.
I think I read somewhere that an '08 hub cap will fit better and look more stock. I myself have an '01 and the WARN hubs and I still have the recessed look. I don't care much for it either.
I just bought a set of '06 hubcaps at a junkyard at lunch today for my '01 F350 4x4 with MileMarker hubs. You can also find them on eBay and other places.
My other thought was just to buy 8 plastic chrome lug nut covers and use no hubcap at all. I think it looks great with the hub sticking out, as opposed to a Dodge or GM with no hubs.
