Man what a bummer! Just found my water pump leaking a few minutes ago. At least it waited till I got back from my 1000 mile round trip through the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee pulling my 32' camper!
Where seems to be the best price for them? Has anyone ever rebuilt their own?
I am going to replace the upper hose with the one that does not go through the belt. I found a NAPA part # of 9066 from a search. Does that sound right?
Well, I got it pulled off tonight. It was about to get noisy, the plate behind the impeller was loose. One of the screws was backed out.
I found a local place that I can get one for about $150. He will sell me the kit for under $100 I hope. He needs the number off it to be sure. I am going to rebuild it myself. For that price I will try it one time. Oreilly's had a rebuild for $200 and a brand new one for $250.
Replaced mine about a year ago,the only place that had it in stock was the dealership,
there price was $ 263.00 . (parts only ). Just to let you know, good luck.
How many miles where on your pump when it started leaking?
I have 128,000 on mine.

Ouch, just for the parts? I got mine at a local rebuilders shop for $65.00. I got it put back together tonight. Filled her back up with antifreeze, took it up the road, so far so good! I thought for $65 I would try it myself. Everything seemed to go OK. My housing was in very good shape. Glad to get it going!
