That was not the one I was refering to Subford. Thanks for trying to make sure I had the right onew though. The IAC is on top of my throttle body and the TPS is on the side. The IAC has two wires going to it and the TPS has three.
Here is the latest news of my troubleshooting.
It started happening again the following day after I replaced the filter.
I found out that the owner of the truck before me replaced the front tank last year. So I started using just the front tank. It still was going on when I was using the front tank. So I removed the filter and check it to make sure it was not plugged or had crap in it, seeing I had just replaced it and was using the rear tank. It was good.
I did the checks on the TPS for resistance and with the engine turned on and it was with specs. I also took the TPS and IAC off and looked them over and then they moved smoothly, and were not that dirty.
I am going to the parts store today and I am going to buy some injector cleaner (seaform) since that seems to be the one recommended most here. I may also pick up a new TPS. I have been toosing that around in my mind for a while. The test were all ok but I don't know it the resistance reading I was getting while moving the throttle was moving a smoothly as it should be. although I hate to buy a new TPS and find out that was not the problem. Oh and I am going to get some carb clean to clean out the TPS and IAC are when I have them off.
I am open to any other ideas if anyone has any that I can check before I head in to the parts store.
with the key on engine off try doing a voltage check on the tps... at closed position you should have .70 to 1.0 volts then open the throttle half way should have 2.5 / 3.0 and than full open 4.0 /5.0. Try that first and see what you get.

I did that and with the key one engine not running I get .8.
you have mass air
did you try cleaning the mass air sensor
have you checked to see what your plugs look like'
look at the plugs for signs of bad injectors
but I would clean mass air first

Do you mean the Manifold Absolute Preasure (MAP) sensor?
Some 95 came with mass air... Do you have a sensor in your intake hose next to the air box if so you have mass air if not then yes you have map...
Nope I just went out and looked at the intake hose coming out of the airbox going into the throttle body and could not see any sensors.
So could the MAP be something to check that could cause this problem? I am going back out side now to go look for that now. My book says it is located next to the evaporator housing.

I am looking through my Haynes book for my truck and I don't see anything about a mass air or mass air sensor. Is there another name for this or where is it?

After researching this some more. I found out that I have a MAP system.
Here's the low down. I had the same trouble as yall for over a month. Turns out the Idle air control was plugged. It's the small device located on the right side of your throttlebody. It has an electrical connection going to. It has 2 allen bolts holding it. Get a can of carb cleaner. Take it off and clean the crap out of it. Worked for me.
Took this off and cleaned it with carburetor/throttle body cleaner and it do not work for me. Thank you for the idea though.
Hi,
What else have you tried in the past?
Does this happen warm, cold, or both?
Some things worth trying is run a few tanks of High Octane gas from a different gas station, and pull and clean (just wipe it off) the VSS sensor in the reat axle. Lastly, it may be a tranny problem, have you ever tried an anti-shudder additivie?

Anti-shudder I have never heard of it. Is it actually caller anti-shudder additive? Is it for manual transmissions? Can that be found at any parts store?
