H2 Axle code in 96' Bronco?????

Can anyone fill me in on this, what axle is it, and what gears does it have. Also is it limited slip?

it is rusted right off along with the diff cover.

It's not in my '95 service manual, but all H axles (7,8,9) are LS.

A H2 axle code wasn't listed in my 94 shop manuals. Can you write down the second row of numbers on your rearend tag? It should read like 3L55 88 4D21 which translates to 3:55 gears, Limited slip differential, 8.8 ring gear diameter.

My '96 owners manual only lists 2 rear axle codes. 19 = conventional 3.55 gears
H9 = traction-lok 3.55 gears
