Forgive my ignorance but how exactly are you suppose to decifer a TSB. Let me give an example
061100 ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:GASOLINE
Make: FORD
Model: EXPEDITION
Year: 2000
Summary:
SUBJECT REGARDING ENGINE OIL RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE IN 2001 VEHICLES - SAE 5W-20 MOTOR OIL. *TT
What exactly does this mean. The manual tells you to put 5w-20 in the vehicle. Does the TSB mean that now this is up to debate. They all seem kind of vague and don't really seem to offer any recourse. Maybe I'm misunderstanding their purpose
What you have is just a brief TSB descripton, you have to sign up and pay for a service to get the whole tsb, or go to a dealer with the tsb # and they may give you a copy or at least explain it to you.
