Just wondering with newer vehicles now days with Start/Stop for fuel economy, if there is something on the market for older vehicles?

what is this start/stop you are referring to??

 

New vehicles, when they pull up to a stop light. The engine cuts off to save gas. Light turns green, apply gas, engine starts back up and go. That's the basicly how it works. There are different names that start/stop.

 

There's no such thing for older cars, and it's exceedingly unlikely to get offered as an aftermarket item in the future either.

 

That's what I thought. I have a 75 f100 and a 04 jeep. I thought it might be a possibility for the jeep but not the truck.

That's correct. And retrofitting an older vehicle -- that's almost like getting a new drive train. While it's doable, it's not cost effective at all.
