I'm getting a notice in the console regarding the auto start/stop system. I know the switch is on the console to turn it off, but its on for sure. I get a notice essentially saying automatic stop won't activate because it detected something in the power port. There is nothing plugged in.
Anyone else see this?
I actually dropped the truck off today to get it looked at, and I will report what they say. Just curious if others have seen it. This is apparently new on all 2017 models (?)
Mine doesn't work on my 2016 I think because of the battery or charging system. I guess I'm waiting for it to die to get it checked. I think I have about 600 miles on the truck.

I've noticed that if it can't maintain temperature in the cab it will kick back on. For example, this morning it was around 18 degrees here. Hit a stoplight, engine turned off, I turned the heat dial up a notch, engine immediately restarted.

That actually doesn't sound like a bad idea. And I also actually appreciate the error I get saying it detected something in the power port. Problem is, there is nothing in any port
18 degrees! Ah, no thanks! low 90's here is Southern California yesterday.
Did you check the battery out? We have a fairly large AGM battery in these trucks. I wonder how much it will cost to replace it. The AGM battery in my boat is almost $300.

Huh, didn't know the 2.7L trucks got an AGM battery. Makes sense, I suppose, with the auto start system. Just looked this one up, it's not quite as bad as I thought:
BAGM-48H6-760 - MSRP $199.99
SALE PRICE: $175.96
PART NOTES: Conventional battery, without hybrid, with stop-start.

Here I am with a 2.7 and I didn't know the battery was AGM. While I have a fairly new Genius smart charger, I wonder if people with older chargers need to be aware? I can't recall how an AGM will react to an old, non-smart charger.

You can charge an AGM battery with a regular charger, it won't hurt anything. The principal on how they operate is similar to a conventional wet-cell battery, but they are much more resistant to deep cycling.
