One other thing to remember on automobile radios. The audio output on the older radios was "single ended", meaning there was only one speaker wire driven, and the vehicle ground was the "return" for the speakers. In newer radios, the audio output is driven differentially, meaning there are two wires for each speaker. The audio signal in each wire is 180 degrees out of phase, and usually marked + and -. Just a couple things to remember, 1) never tie either of these wires to ground. 2) Make sure all speakers are "phased" the same, meaning connect the + and - on the same speaker terminals on all speakers.
