[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-Jul-02 AT 09:54 AM (EST)]the truck in question is my truck as stated below. i currently have a np 203 transfer case. it is popping like crazy and being under the truck with tourque applied to the axles u can see the front drive shaft binding up in the t-case so i am assuming that the np 203 is screwed. i first thought it was my front axle caseing the noise and have replaced everything on/in the front axle from hub to hub including all the bearings. the research i have done says that it will bolt right up using the same tail houseing off of the c-6. my next question is about my drive shafts. will the drive shaft length be the same or will i need to get new or different drive shafts to fit eith the np 205????

The front drive shaft shoud work but the back one will be too short.
You could probly just buy a longer slip yoke and in stall it on your orignal shaft. Leadmic
what lube are you running in that 203?
if you got 80/90 in it it will do what you are describeing.
drain that thick crap outa there if you do it will ruin it!
run 10/40 or 30 weight motor oil and it will run cooler and stop "popping" unless your chain is toast and sliping teeth.
just a lil' info thats all, I hope ya find whatcha need.
well i got to lookin at my np205 today and i cant fiquer out the shift pattern. i think i found it out so if anyone knows of a web site or has pics of the way it looks on the tranny and how the shifters mount to the t-case. the levers are not on it in case you are wondering. i also plan on doing a twin stick set up on it before i put it in the truck. does anyone know where i can find a kit or site that shows a similar t-case being set up for twin stick operation????
