04 F150 - Bad Tire Wear
So here is the scenario......
I have an 2004 F150 XLT SCrew, 18,000 mies, bought it in March 2004.
In June 2005 I noticed that when I put on the brake at high speeds (60+ mph) the stering wheel would shake. I just got around to taking the truck into the dealer in September 2005. They said there was a TSB (technical service bulletin?) put out by Ford on this condition and all the work would be done under warrenty. The work consisted of new front rotors. While the technician was taking the wheels off, he noticed extremely bad wear on the inside of both front wheels. He took me out there to show it to me, and this was the most wear I have ever seen on a tire. The inside edge of the tires were worn down to the metal wires of the tire. The dealer said that Ford had also issued a TSB for this type of tire wear, and the technician had said that he had seen this in about 10 other F150s recently. The dealer replaced the two front wheels and realigned them also, all for free\under warrenty. The technician also said that the wear was due to the alignment machine at the assembly plant being miscalibrated. Just for reference my F150 was built at the Kansas City plant.
Anyway, my questions are.....
Has anyone else had this same problem with their 2004 F150? Whether it be the shaking wheel, or the tire wear.
Is there a place I can see all the TSB's that Ford has put out for the 2004 F150? I would like to get as much as I can done while it is still under warrenty.
Thanks for the help.

I should have done some more research before I posted my question. I found the answer to my TSB list question. Here is a link to TSBs by build year. On my browser, Firefox, the page doesn't render correctly, it is readable but you have to assume some of the link names becuase the advertisments are in the way.

I just had all 4 tires replaced per the TSB and customer letter that was mailed to all 04 f150, excluding heritage owners. It specifically states that the warranty on the tires will be extended from 12,000 miles/1year to 36months 36,000 miles if the tire wore prematurely, or the vehicle had an alignment or vibration issue etc.. My tires had 18,000 mile on them, wore evenly almost down to the wear bars, showed proof that I had them rotated 3x. No questions asked they replaced all 4.
One dealer I went to tried to tell me it was just warranted for vibration issues, told him he should read the letter, left and went to the dealer I purchased the vehicle from, no problems what so ever! I now have 4 new tires!
