I have an 06 F250 short bed crew cab. Got a discount of $100 and it came in under $1000 installed. The main cover portion is machined aluminum slats. Go to the Pace Edwards web page for more information. www.pace-edwards.com

Does anyone know if any of these will work with a backrack?

A lot of money, they are by far the most expensive. Then come to think of it, the fiberglass painted to match caps can be pricier.

Powerstroke_wannabe, There is no need to remove anything but the stake pocket plugs, this is where the anchors for the side rails attach. You will have to drill a hole (about 3/8in) in the plugs for the anchor screws to pass through. The holes are covered by the rail, just make sure, your sure about their location. If you screw up no big deal, they're easily replaced.

When I bought mine it was installed, but I've taken it off several times, and it's a snap, on or off, no time at all. One other thing, no matter how much you tighten the anchor screws, the rails always seem to shift, necessitating shifting them back, and retightening them. A minor inconvenience

Needless to say, I didn't like removing it unless it was absolutely necessary. I just bought an 06 F250 and am currently looking at folding tonneau covers. One made by Fold-A-Cover has caught my eye and I'm currently researching this item. I'm in full agreement with 3/4's comments regarding the fiberglass cover. Good luck in your search.

I got my F350 CC lariat last month. Put in a Line X liner along with an Undercover Tonneau. Works great, looks good and is easy (very lite) to remove.

I have a Diamondback cover on my Crew Cab short bed.

I just recently purchased the folding 12 foot ATV ramps and the hardware to attach the ramps to the side of the truck. This way I can load my new 2005 Suzuki King Quad ATV on top of the cover from the side of the truck.

Perigon Bed Cover?
I did install it myself. Took about 3 hours total. Instructions were very good, and follow them, it helps. Do a lay out and get started, not too complicated. They also have a tech line you can call with questions and a web site showing the install process in pictures.
www.peragon.com/install/install.html
Well, I got mine installed, but it sure doesn't want to unfold. It binds like crazy as the 3rd flap starts up the ramp...and it will not go any further. Got any advise? I called the "hot line" and the kid on the other end answered my call about 3 hours later...just as I was putting away all the tools. He wasn't much help except to say I had to have done something wrong. Am getting my son to come over tomorrow (if it doesn't rain - supposed to) and take a look. I thought the instructions sucked myself....and web site pictures weren't much help either. Would have been nice to see pictures that showed/identified each part so the installer could see the part that they were talking about in the text. Will repost after the next time we get to get back to it.

Watching the guy install mine, he was very careful to make certain all parts had clean edges, filling them when necessary. Also made sure the rails were straight and true.

Really spent time adjusting the width with the brackets. On my 06, the bed tapers to the rear, I imaging yours does too!

Try loosening the brackets that hold the rails to the bed.

Got my son to help today...we had to loosen all the brackets and add washers for spacers at all brackets. Took a long time, but it paid off. Cover opens and closes now without falling off track. Still tight, but factory guy says it will be for a few weeks. Trick was to really center the roller bearings from side to side and insure all brackets were LEVEL from front to back. Really is a nice looking cover and am glad I don't have that huge 8' fibreglass one like I had on my old '92. Really was a pain taking it off every spring to use 5th wheel and putting it back on for winter. Now the cover is in bed of truck all the time and can use it to cover right up to the 5th wheel hitch. Ain't no knife gonna get thru that aluminum.
