Hey,
Does anyone know of any good sites on just how vehicles work and the rebuilding of various parts of one. I am new so I am just wondering.

Vanhalen06: You will find a ton of general information on engines, torque, horsepower, etc, (many links too) at the Howstuffworks.com site. Once you learn the basics you will find all the information at FTE even more useful and will be able to get specific help on Ford engines.

It covers diesel, gasoline, Murphy cycle, and other engines. There is a discussion explaining why Harley motorcycle engines lope. Lots of good stuff and an animated cross section of a running engine with double overhead cam--valves move and all.
