i guess i'll jstu have to find out from experiance we started learnin about HAZMAT Stuff today....thats some pretty cool stuff. scary, but cool.

Oh yeah, HAZMAT is tons of fun. On a real incedent, it goes exactly like it does in the book.

Yeah right! You'll just have a bunch of yellow and white hats running around talking to each other, while none of them have any idea what to do.

As soon as the smoke clears enough that I can "hack" it I loose the S.C.B.A.
The last movie personality to say he could 'hack it' was Cowboy. And if you have seen the movie, you know what happened to him.

i wear mine until the CO tell me to take it off, im in this for the long haul no chances on lung cancer

ditto, theres plenty of free air to be had or compressed. get a well-fitted SCBA mask and your good to go. no, its not the most comfortable thing ever, but it'll save your butt from too many things to count.

I have been in the fire service for 20 years, never heard anything like this before. I can still taste everything just fine. And more often than not, it's way to much.

How about the "taste" of stale air in a SCBA...



....COme to think of it, I cant taste that anymore since our department got our own compressor and cascade system. Now we get to keep the air in the cylinders fresh.
