I'm thinking of rewarding myself for 30 yrs hard labor by buying a high-end massage chair. I'm considering the i.1 from www.inada-chair.com. Does anyone have any experience with any of these contraptions?
All I can say is "WOW". I thought I had a fairly high end massage chair. I don't have personnal experience with a chair of that exact type but I can tell you, the one I have has really been worth the money. Mine will do a rolling or stationary shiatzu type massage or a rolling/stationary tapping type along with leg and foot massage. It was $2,500 about 8 years ago.
The only real problem I've found is that before your body gets used to the massage you almost can't get out of the chair afterward. Everyone who has tried mine gets a bit light headed and muscles are so relaxed that standing up immediatly after a massage is not a good idea.
The back massage "can" be very painfull at first also. The motion pushes knotted back muscles then seems to jump over the knot until it gets it worked out then it feels good. I know it help with circulation in arms and legs also.
That Inada chair makes mine look like it came from the stoneage and I'd sure like to try one for 10 years or so
i have an iJoy chair. i have had it about 3 months.. it is waist up only, doesnt do the legs or butt... i love it.. we paid around $800 for it.. i have had a lot of serious back problems and was having to go see a chiropractor every other week... with the iJoy, i dont have to see anybody but the chair...i soak in the garden tub for about 20 mins, then get in the chair for about 15.. when i stand up, my back "pops" all the way up my spine and i am good for a week or so..
i wouldnt trade my chair for anything...
