I recently put a snugtop lid on my 05 SCREW short bed. It's awesome except for the fact that now it is impossible to see in there when it's dark out. I was thinking of running some LED type bars under the bed rails -- if such bars even exist.
I had the same problem on my 95 Chev. I found the easist solution was to get a battery powered RV light attached under the cover near the tailgate. It was going to be a PITA to run the wiring and figure out a spot for the switch. It gets hot under there but I never had any problems with leaking batteries.
I did the same as Lizardking. I installed a battery type light on each side underneath my ARE lid. I have never used them, but maybe some day. Good Luck!
I was under the assumption that a light was an option on most caps. It seems to me that everyone I know with a lid has a light under it. I just assumed it came with the lid. silly me for assuming!!

Usually a cab high cap has that option, I have seen very few bed covers with that option.
There is a great little magnetic light I got at Wallmart. It's a beige thing, but it fits nicely against the rear under the tail lights on the inside. You do forget it there if you don't use it for a while.
It's a Coleman and under 15 bucks.
