Never thought the hurricanes down south would affect me up here in Kansas but after Katrina, I think I'll be filling up the rides before Rita hits. Anybody else as doing the same?
Yup got mine filled up last-night. It really is just putting off the inevitable though. I mean if the prices go back up I am going to have to buy more sometime, but I guess I save at least 400 miles worth.
I heard there was a run on beer here in Manhattan with everyone (especially the students at KSU stocking up) fearing that with Rita there will be a shortage this weekend. Then with the price of fuel and the possible transportation problens due to Rita there may not be any delivered for a week or two. Gee, maybe I need to get some too. OH, I remembered, I have two cans in the frig. That should last me at least a couple of weeks.
Yeah they keep jumping it up till we all scream then drop the price by half of what it was raised and we think it's great. Slowly getting everyone trained and accustomed to the higher prices.

That is exactly right.
I filled up my vehicles but dropped the ball on the beer. Guess I'll have to drink whiskey while I suffer through the hurricane until I can stock up with beer again. Sigh
