It's a little difficult to follow hockey closely out here in the Illinois out-back, but I like the sport. My favorite team is also the Penguins, although I don't have a strong loyalty to them. I never have seen them in person, only on the tube.
I'm pretty excited for the season....not too crazy bout the bigger nets though. Hopefully my Leafs can have a good year, probly not as good as last time though. (As long as Lindros and Allison don't run into each other, it should be decent) Philly isn't what everyone claims they are, they lost 4 of their top 5 scorers last year, for who...Forsberg??? Gimme a break. Sure he's good, but he can't replace 4 guys. Hopefully all 6 Canadian teams can make it to the second season, the Habs will be on the bubble though.

We'll see how good teh flyers are in about 2 weeks. The only move they made that I didn't like was bringing Therien back....It's going to be a fun season to watch!
Although I do not watch it much, I'm glad professional hockey is back.
My youngest son plays Bantam Tier II hockey (that's Bantam AA for you Canucks). At the age and skill level he is playing at now, it's like having free season tickets to one of the most exciting sports around.
